The Goat Discussion and Why it Should have Never Been.

Now that the season is over and the Super Bowl was a blow out, the media is scrambling to figure out how to avoid talking bad about Mahomes. This whole season, the narrative around the Chiefs in the media was if they won the Super Bowl and did something no one has ever done then Mahomes would be the goat and Chiefs the greatest dynasty. That completely bogus narrative should have never happened because it is not true. If the Chiefs won this Super Bowl this year, we would have the media claim Mahomes as the goat, with only 4 Super Bowl wins, 3 less than Brady, without ever beating Brady in a big game, and with almost every single stat being worse, which isn’t Mahomes fault he's only 29, but it is the media's fault. The truth is Mahomes has a very good chance of catching Brady, especially with how the game has changed, but even if he won this year, he would still be nowhere near the GOAT. Here's the thing, he didn’t win and was already being compared to the Goat, so now the media is simply avoiding talking about how disingenuous they have been all season, but that's alright because I’ll point it out.
The big emphasis on Mahomes winning the Super Bowl this year was the 3 Peat, something no QB has ever done before, not even Brady, and that was the only criteria that matters this year in the debate. Which is weird because the media wouldn’t dare classify Brady as the Goat until he had left the Pats and destroyed the system quarterback narrative, that was always the main narrative for Brady leading up to the Super Bowl. Once he finally destroyed all the dumb narratives about him, he was finally considered the GOAT. By that time Brady had 7 Super Bowls, more than any FRANCHISE, all the passing stats, the most winning playoff record, 4 SB MVPS, 3 (should be way more but the NFL and media hated him) league MVPS, and easily the most dominant player to ever play the game, making the Super Bowl 47% of seasons he played. It took Brady 20 years, every single record and winning with another team for Brady to be considered the GOAT. So why all year, if Brady has done something no other FRANCHISE has done, was the narrative,
“If Mahomes 3 peats he'll do something Brady has never done, making him the GOAT???”

That's because of just how much the NFL/Media hated Brady, that dynasty, and how much attention/profit they gain from comparing the greatest of all time, to the 3rd best qb in the league this year. The NFL/media picked their poison back in 2018 for who was going to be the guy who rivaled Brady’s legacy, even though Brady still won that AFC Championship with a full lazer in his eye. The NFL/media saw a prospect in Mahomes and Andy Reid to diminish what Brady did. We all should have realized this was not a fair comparison all year when there was 0 media bringing up Joe Montana. Joe Montana is still a far better all time quarterback than Mahomes, if Mahomes would have won this Super Bowl, they would have been on the same tier, both having 4 Super Bowls, and best stats during their era. Therefore, the "ERA" is a big metric as well that completely gets shunned when the Brady and Mahomes debate was happening all year. Mahomes is playing in a league that is made for physical ability quarterbacks, quarterbacks who rely more on their physical talent, than their mental intangibles. Defensive rules have been put in place where it makes it practically impossible to hit the QB hard, or even a wide receiver going over the middle for a hospital ball. It is a fact that it is easier to play QB in this new era, because you don’t have to worry about getting your body suplexed into the ground or your wide receiver's life getting taken away by Ray Lewis waiting over the middle. Montana and Brady both played in an era where you did have to worry about those things, and where you would have to take account of that by making pre snap adjustments instead of being able to scramble. When you scramble, you are considered a runner, and a runner used to have no protection rules for him, so the QB when scrambling, could get rocked like what Sean Taylor did in Pro Bowl, or direct comparison, what Nate Clemmons did to Brady whilst going out of bounds. You couldn’t risk injuring yourself or your star player so you had to do things that would protect them, which allowed the defense to properly scheme for the offense, and the offense rely more on the adaptability and knowledge of the QB. Therefore, you cannot compare Mahomes to Brady until he is competitively rivaling Joe Monatana, taking into account the weaker era, because right now, Joe Montana is still a tier ahead of Mahomes.
To conclude, I need the media to do their fucking job right and properly analyze the game, instead of lacking any sense of pride and just shouting out hot takes for attention because they lack any dignity and finical stability. This debate between Mahomes and Brady should have never been a thing, Brady had 20+ years of dominance before he was even considered the GOAT. The NFL/Media are doing an incredible disservice to Mahomes, the sport, and fans by comparing the great of right now to greatest of all time. The only comparison Mahomes should get until he wins 7 Super Bowls and has dominated the league for 20+ years is to Montana, and that shouldn't even be happening until he at least wins 4 Super Bowls.

Quick rant below as well:
ALSO IF I SEE ONE MORE TALKING HEAD MEDIA PERSON TELL ME TO PUMP THE BREAKS ON CALLING THE GOAT DISSCUSSION OVER BECAUSE MAHOMES IS YOUNG, LIKE THEY WEREN'T THE ONES SAYING HE WOULD BE THE GOAT IF HE WON, ILL LOSE IT. YES, MAHOMES CAN STILL BE THE GOAT, BUT NO, YOU DO NOT GET TO SAY HE DESERVES MORE TIME WHEN YOU WERE THE ONES PRESSURING IT NOW AND THE GOAT DISCUSSION IS COMPLETLY OVER NOW UNTIL MAHOMES HAS 7 RINGS, IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN A DISCUSSION UNTIL HE HAS 7 RINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
